Repopulating the historic center of Sassari as a first step towards its regeneration and redevelopment. To achieve this, we will exploit the initiatives made possible by the resources of Pinqua, the National Innovative Program for the Quality of Living. One of the first steps in this direction came with the proposal of Mayor Giuseppe Mascia, accepted by the municipal council, to assign the offices the remodulation of the criteria for the assignment of seven housing units in Corso Vittorio Emanuele.
Properties taken over thanks to a 1 million euro loan and that will soon be assigned with a call for tenders, drawn up and published by the Department of Housing Policies. And the offices of the sector will identify a reward system that favors the assignment to those who do not already live in the historic center. Specifically, we are talking about families with socio-economic conditions that allow them to gradually integrate into the city center, favoring the establishment and development of new local commercial activities, supporting what is foreseen by the Pinqua program on the subject of urban regeneration.
"The previous announcement was too restrictive - explains the mayor - so we decided to broaden the group of those eligible without limiting ourselves to specific job categories so as to undertake a path that we consider necessary for the relaunch of the historic center and the entire city".
"We aim," adds Housing Policy Councilor Patrizia Mercuri, "to facilitate access to the rental market for young people, families and young couples, to regenerate a lively and cohesive residential social fabric by encouraging the bond between students, families and young people with this part of the city."
