Cultivation and possession of narcotic substances. With this accusation, the owner of a land built in the Spagnolu area of Sarroch ended up under house arrest, where the Forestry Corps found a real illegal cannabis plantation.

Over 200 plants were identified by the agents of the Pula Forestry Station and by the investigative unit of the Cagliari Inspectorate during an inspection.

The operation was started after the foresters noticed a strong and unmistakable smell of marijuana outside the completely fenced area.

At that point the raid began: «The operations – explain the investigators – made it possible to ascertain that three rooms had been set up inside one of the buildings fully equipped for the cultivation of cannabis, with lighting, ventilation, air conditioning systems, humidification".

«In two of the rooms, cannabis plants were found grown in pots and close to maturation. Inside the property, a further room was discovered, used for the same cultivation: an underground room accessible from a trap door . Indian hemp inflorescences in the drying phase were found here. Furthermore, equipment for determining the weight and packaging of the narcotic substance was found. Overall, 209 potted hemp plants were found."

At that point the owner of the properties, already known to the police, was arrested and placed under house arrest. The judge then ordered the precautionary measure of compulsory residence in the Municipality of Sarroch against him.
