Music, poetry and art in Alghero with the Melos Festival. On Friday at 9pm the Cloister of San Francesco hosts the fourth appointment of the 10th edition of the traveling exhibition which, thanks to the organization of the Saser Study Centre, combines refined concerts with literature and historical insights into the places in which it is hosted.

The concert on August 9th will feature the soprano Roberta Serra and the pianist Olesya Romanko . The proposed repertoire includes the romances La seduzione and In solitaria stanza by Giuseppe Verdi, Sogno by Francesco Paolo Tosti, Ninnia by the Sassari composer Roberto Piana and the famous aria Casta diva da Norma by Vincenzo Bellini, to which are added some Sardinian songs, from Muttettu to Religious song of Alghero . Also on the program are pieces for solo piano by Lao Silesu and Roberto Piana.

The concert will be interspersed with poems by Grazia Deledda and Sebastiano Satta recited by the actress Lella Cucca and by the intervention of the art historian Alessandro Ponzeletti who will describe the history and characteristics of the place hosting the evening.
