The executive project has been approved by the Regional Council, and the funding (regional and European) is available : work can resume at Villa Muscas, on Via Santa Alenixedda in Cagliari, to enhance the music, art, and culture district of the Parco della Musica.
The long-inaccessible space will become the site of the Rome Experimental Cinematography Center, which, according to the plans of the City Council led by Massimo Zedda, "will be the first attraction in Sardinia, and one of the few in Italy, for excellent productions in music and sound for cinema and audiovisual media."
The mayor announced that "the house of Launeddas and Sardinian music, the center for polyphonic music, and the center for international music will also be housed there. It will be a place of cross-fertilization, creativity, and synergy between Sardinian and international professionals , along with the Conservatory and the Opera House Foundation."
It will also be possible to follow highly specialized training courses in directing, editing, sound, and music and sound composition for cinema and audiovisual media, within a facility technically equipped for editing, dubbing, and sound effects.
The overall intervention is over 2 million.
