Twenty-six driving licenses were revoked . This is the result of a series of checks carried out by the Sassari traffic police during the Cavalcata Sarda celebrations, which attracted numerous visitors to Sassari.

During a patrol on the Sassari-Alghero highway , officers used laser rangefinders to record the passage of a high-powered BMW traveling at 206 kilometers per hour . In addition to this very serious incident, six fines were issued for speeding.

The checks also focused on combating drunk driving and driving under the influence of drugs. During the checks, seven cases of violations of Article 186 of the Highway Code were discovered.

Numerous other violations were also reported: 12 drivers were fined for using a cell phone while driving, 22 for not wearing seat belts, 12 for not having mandatory insurance coverage, and 33 for failing to have their vehicles inspected. The traffic police responded to six accidents.
