The Regional Council's Culture Committee, chaired by Camilla Soru (Democratic Party), unanimously approved the council's resolution naming the Sardinian regional library after Nobel Prize winner Grazia Deledda.

The measure was presented by the Councilor for Culture, who highlighted the cultural and identity-related significance of naming the library, established in 1959, after the Nobel Prize winner for Literature, in the year that marks the centenary of its award to Grazia Deledda. She also outlined the additional measures introduced in the resolution approved last January.

Among these, some provisions relating to operational discipline, together with the recognition of bibliographic superintendence tasks and the activities of the institute responsible for the legal deposit of documents.

The amendments also introduce the possibility for beneficiaries of regional patronage and funding to promote initiatives supported by the Region in the conference room, named after Giovanni Lilliu. The councilor concluded by mentioning the creation of a specific budget item for the external outsourcing of consultation and reception services.
