No circular from the Ministry of Health has arrived from the ministry on the provision not to count patients who are positive in other departments in the Covid Medical Area. This is confirmed by the Region of Sardinia, which instead underlines how the Health Commission of the Conference of Regions received only a draft of the Emilia Romagna proposal, with similar content, and that the Councilor Mario Nieddu said he shared.

The document in question concerns the revision of the classification of hospital admissions.

"For a coherent description of hospital pressure - reads the press release - it is necessary not to consider patients hospitalized for other pathology which is found to be positive at Covid because they undergo routine testing, for example screening during hospitalization, and who can still be isolated. in the ward without occupying beds dedicated to Covid 19 ". This, adds Nieddu, "seems completely reasonable to me: that is, if you happen to fracture and end up in orthopedics, then you test positive for the swab to which the patients are periodically subjected, but you remain in the same ward, it is sacrosanct that that place does not is counted as a Covid bed ".

Lombardy, on the other hand, has announced that the counting system will change today but, the commissioner continues, "I want to insist on my battle to make diagnostic antigenic swabs in order to lighten the prevention systems, considering that managing molecular swabs for this amount of infections is not possible ".
