Quartu, more rats in schools: the school on Via Bonn is also closing.

Following the forced closure of the primary school on Via Beethoven, which will reopen its doors only on Wednesday the 30th following a rodent control program, rat infestations in Quartu are also forcing the children of the nursery school on Via Bonn to take an unscheduled vacation.

Despite inspections requested by the municipal administration a few weeks ago and carried out by ProService at all the city's schools, the problem arose just days before the children returned to school after the summer holidays. Therefore, following a report from the school principal, the company appointed by the Metropolitan City of Cagliari conducted a new inspection, which highlighted the need for rodent control on Via Bonn.

The date for the treatment has not yet been set, but to protect the children and avoid any problems, the decision was made to close the school starting yesterday until the treatment is completed and the premises are restored to a safe condition, as stated in the order. Rats, as mentioned, had already appeared at the school on Via Beethoven, both inside and outside. In this case, baits have already been placed, and checks are currently underway to verify the success of the treatment. The premises will then be cleaned and ventilated, and barring any problems, classes should resume next Wednesday, September 30th.
