Sardinia in the grip of heat until Tuesday: very high temperatures especially in the South

Sardinia still in the grip of the heat , at least until Tuesday 7 June.

The Regional Civil Protection has issued a new weather alert starting at 3pm today, Sunday 5 June, until 6pm on Tuesday 7 .

The island will therefore continue to register very high temperatures, even above 38 degrees . The heat will mainly affect the southern and southeastern part of Sardinia .

The recommendations are the usual: avoid going out during the hottest hours (12-18), especially the elderly and people at risk, but also infants and those who regularly take drugs; in the house protect yourself from the sun with curtains and blinds; eat light meals, eat lots of fruit, drink a lot, avoiding alcohol and caffeine.
