Fondazione Sardegna makes 9.1 million euros available to carry out hundreds of projects aimed at the development of the island.
The detailed list of the beneficiaries of the funds was published on the institutional website of the Foundation: there are 554 projects, relating to the sectors "Art, cultural heritage and activities", "Public health, preventive and rehabilitation medicine", "Local development" , "Volunteering, philanthropy and charity", and 165 other projects relating to the sectors "Art, activities and cultural heritage" and "Volunteering, philanthropy and charity".
«With the publication of the beneficiaries - explains a note - the activity relating to the Calls for 2023 closes with a total allocation of 9,095,000 euros, with an increase of 718,000 euros compared to 2022. The number of beneficiary projects that they go from 641 in 2022 to 719 this year. The total disbursements include three main components: the portion relating to annual calls for tenders, that for multi-year calls for tenders, in addition to the allocation intended for small projects of social, territorial and cultural interest presented by unstructured minor subjects».
In detail, the allocations for the Annual Calls amount to 5,943,000 euros, broken down as follows: Art, cultural heritage and activities 2,202,000 euros; Volunteering, philanthropy and charity €1,510,000; Public health, preventive and rehabilitative medicine 828,000 euros; Local development 1,403,000 euros.
The Calls for Art and Volunteering were those in which the largest number of project proposals were presented. If for Art this means a great liveliness of the cultural fabric of our region, for Volunteering it is the symptom of a growing social difficulty, to which the active subjects of the Third Sector respond with greater activity, which the Foundation supports with an increase of 300,000 euros on the initial allocation.
«The Foundation is now a consolidated point of reference for our island. Our goal is to be able to give support - within the limits of our resources - to all deserving projects and from which we expect a positive impact for the community and the territory - said Giacomo Spissu, president of the Sardinia Foundation -. Furthermore, for 2023, we have set ourselves the goal of strengthening the monitoring activity with a presence in the field that allows us to concretely observe the activities of our beneficiaries and to improve the Foundation's action".
