The Civil Protection Department has issued a new weather warning for the high temperatures that will affect Sardinia again in this last part of August.
The "adverse weather" warning issued today will be in effect for at least four days, from 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26th, until the morning of Saturday, August 29th.
On the island, explains the Civil Protection, widespread high maximum temperatures (>37 °C) are expected, initially in the western areas, then extending across the entire region.
Highest temperatures are expected in inland areas, where they could reach as high as 44 degrees Celsius. Low temperatures will be above 24-25 degrees Celsius across much of Sardinia.
