Nadia Matta, mayor of Santa Teresa Gallura, informs that on the Santa Teresa – Bonifacio «in the first week of March, the Ichnusa ship, chartered by the Moby company, will enter service. At the end of March, the Giraglia ship will be operational on the Bonifacio – Santa Teresa route after undergoing maintenance work during these months. From 1 April, the route will be covered by the Giraglia and the Ichnusa, the latter, continues the mayor of Santa Teresa, will resume traveling with its own company».
As for the Liburna vessel, the mayor of Santa Teresa Galliea continues, "no exemption has been granted to operate in international waters. The Moby company is currently completing all the necessary paperwork for the vessel to meet the requirements for a final authorization. This process includes not only the submission of additional documentation, but also the installation of additional equipment that will make the vessel fully compliant with current regulations."
The Santa Teresa Gallura – Bonifacio route, which connects Sardinia with Corsica, crossing the Strait of Bonifacio, is particularly advantageous for hauliers, who in recent months, together with the companies that trade to and from Corsica, have suffered many inconveniences.
