The official start of the great celebration of Sant'Efisio, now in its 369th edition.

On Wednesday evening, in the ancient church of Stampace, the installation of the Guardiania was held, which was not followed, as per tradition, by the election of the Third Guardian, the true director of the event who must take care of all the formal and logistical aspects of the celebration within a very complex organizational machine.

"This year - said the president of the archconfraternity Andrea Loi - the celebration coincides with the Jubilee and for this reason we decided that all the brothers should share the responsibilities that usually fall to the Third Guardian and link their name to the dissolution of the vow".

In front of the Guardiania, in the presence of the alter nos Marzia Cilloccu, Monsignor Mario Ledda, chaplain of the archconfraternity, celebrated the mass in the church dedicated to the warrior martyr, recalling the history and meaning of the cult of the Saint.

The theme of hope, in line with the Jubilee, runs through this year's celebrations in honor of Efis Gloriosu who has always helped the people of Cagliari in times of difficulty.
