The Carabinieri and the Guardia di Finanza are in action in Cagliari, conducting a series of joint checks along the coast and in some urban areas already under scrutiny by law enforcement.

During the evening and night of Wednesday, soldiers from the Villanova and Sant'Avendrace Carabinieri Stations, the Operational and Radiomobile Unit, the NAS (National Anti-Corruption and Rescue Service), the 2nd Metropolitan Operational Unit, and the Rapid Response Company of the Guardia di Finanza (Fiamme Gialle) went into action.

During the investigation, a fine was issued to a beach resort with an adjoining restaurant in Poetto, where hygiene and sanitation irregularities and structural deficiencies were discovered. Further investigations have been initiated to verify the existing contracts with the staff employed.

Fines were also imposed on the owner of a restaurant in the Marina Piccola area, where operators found inadequate cleaning conditions, structural deficiencies, and possible staff irregularities.

During the checks, the officers also reported a 35-year-old Senegalese man, a 26-year-old from Cagliari, a 32-year-old Bangladeshi man, and a 31-year-old from Lombardy on various charges of carrying knives, driving under the influence, and drug possession.
