Crystal clear sea and waste. The village of San Giovanni di Sinis is covered in garbage. Damage to the image of the area, a bad postcard for tourists who are spending their holidays in the Cabrarese area these days.

But the blame is now on the wild boars. At night, the animals knock over the waste bins and eat everything they find inside the bags. And on the ground, chaos ensues. This happens especially in the main squares. Giulia Uras is the president of the “Tzur” association that brings together the residents: «They are smart animals, they know where to find food. By now they are an integral part of San Giovanni, they enter the houses calmly, they are not afraid of anything. To avoid problems, we must also close the external gates. The problem of wild fauna must be solved». To combat the presence of wild boars, controlled culling was also carried out several months ago, but evidently it was not enough. «The specimens have become very numerous», concludes Uras.
