San Gavino: workers, trade unionists, priests and mayors united to defend the foundry

All united to strongly defend the 200 workers of the San Gavino foundry, which belongs to Portovesme Srl.

So many mayors of Medio Campidano, together with the first citizens of Iglesias and Portoscuso, participated in the open municipal council, convened by the mayor of San Gavino Carlo Tomasi, to give a clear and vigorous signal of support and solidarity to workers and their families .

The local Church is also on the field with Don Marco Statzu , director of the Pastoral Care of Labor of the Diocese of Ales (in the video) who expressed a clear position alongside the workers: «We cannot afford to see an industry that works and works closed , in this territory where work is scarce».
