To arrive at a precise time schedule of the works on the main Sardinian roadways to be presented as early as next week to the Prefectures in anticipation of the greatest traffic loads on the roads due to the summer season.

The commissioner for Public Works Aldo Salaris asked Anas during the inspections on the State Road 131 in which he verified the progress of the construction sites and compliance with the construction times of the works.

"The most urgent goal is to have a new time schedule to present to the four prefects", he said in the first stage of the inspection, at the viaduct located at Macomer . and which is the subject of modernization works.

“Once again we touch firsthand, directly on site, the progress of the construction sites to verify the interventions in progress and compliance with the given deadlines. While taking into account the slowdowns due to the supply of materials, we need to continue on time to complete the work started during the legislature ”, added Salaris. The intervention started in early March and foresees a total duration of one year and three months for an investment of approximately 5 million.

The demolition and reconstruction of the underpass at the Saccargia junction on state road 597 is also underway. The works envisage the closure of a 600-meter stretch of state highway 131: the total investment is 1.8 million euros and also in this case the crisis in the supply of materials has slightly affected the conclusion of the works which will in any case be completed at the end of July.

Another important intervention concerns the demolition and reconstruction of the bridge at kilometer 194 of the 131 state road that passes over the provincial road 3: a total value of 2.4 million euros with completion expected by the end of 2022.

Commitments taken and maintained also for the maintenance of the overpasses at Bonnanaro and Siligo , also on the 131, which consist in the demolition and reconstruction of the works.
