Too many accidents on construction sites, too many people who end up in hospital after falling from scaffolding . The Region, through the labor inspectors of the ASL (Spresal), has launched a prevention plan which aims, by 2025, to drastically reduce the phenomenon of occupational accidents in construction.

In Olbia , in the auditorium of the archaeological museum, the plan based on a collaboration agreement between the labor inspectors of the Spresal, the companies and the personnel employed on the construction sites was presented. The choice of the Gallura city is not accidental. In fact, in recent months, the labor inspectors of the Spresal of Olbia (a branch of the ASL) have intervened for numerous accidents on construction sites, in particular for falls from heights. The phenomenon has assumed alarming proportions.

During this morning's conference, Silvio Alciator and Francesca Ferrocci spoke for the National Association of Building Builders, to reaffirm the agreement reached between Spresal and the employers for constant attention to safety. The Inail supervisory officer, Giancarlo Foddai , confirmed that, compared to the January-September 2021 period, this year there is an increase of about 10 percent in accidents. In 2022, 138 workplace accidents were reported . The person in charge of Spresal in northern Sardinia, Pietro Masia , illustrated the prevention plan, while Giovanni Demontis and Domenico Lombardi, both from Spresal, indicated the effective practices for limiting the risk of falls from height.
