The Region allocates 10 million to contribute to the rent costs of needy families. The funds are there, as established by a resolution of the Council on the proposal of the Councilor for Public Works Pierluigi Saiu. Now the Municipalities must prepare tenders for the distribution of resources.

«We are talking about an important measure in favor of low-income families who live in a rented house and have to pay the rent. To provide the maximum possible coverage of the needs", specifies councilor Saiu, "we have authorized the Municipalities to integrate the allocated funds with any resources not spent from the previous year".

Two bands have been identified, for which the maximum amount is set respectively at up to 3,098 euros or up to 2,320 depending on the income requirements (ISEE) and the impact of the annual rent on the latter. Within the maximum amounts established for the two bands, there is also an increase in the contribution of 25% for families in which there are people over sixty-five or people with disabilities. However, there is no possibility of cumulating the contribution with the citizen's income, or with what remains of it.
