More than four quintals of red and purple shrimp seized aboard a Mazara del Vallo fishing boat moored in the port of Oristano .
The activity was carried out by the military personnel of the Harbor Master's Office as part of the controls carried out on the fishing industry.
The men of the Coast Guard ascertained that the fishing boat did not have the authorization for fishing in GSA 11 area , which includes the entire sea area surrounding Sardinia, and for which the competent Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies has as a precaution, the prohibition of catching deep-sea shrimp was ordered.
The captain and the shipowner were sanctioned , while the catch - a total of 444 kilos - was seized.
