It is not a sale. Not for now, at least. The State Property Agency is managing 383 of its properties. It rents them out for a fee. The objective is twofold: "recovery" on one side and "refunctionalization" on the other. That is, restructuring and reconversion. In Sardinia, the business opportunity concerns five properties, from La Maddalena to Asinara, passing through Palau and Sassari.

Yesterday's new operation by the National Agency is looking for "private investors", it is expressly written in the announcement, but without limits of origin. Both Italian and foreign entrepreneurs can submit offers.

The same goes for companies. Municipalities, Provinces and Municipalities are not excluded, like any other public body, but they can enter into management only through a mixed partnership. The rest is project purposes: the State Property Agency wants to redevelop "assets not used for institutional purposes" to "create economic, social, cultural and environmental value in the territories".
