Rain and thunderstorms return to Sardinia, at least until late Wednesday evening .
The Civil Protection has issued a new weather alert which particularly concerns the south-eastern sector of the island.
" Scattered to widespread precipitation is expected, including showers or thunderstorms, over southern and eastern Sardinia. Cumulative amounts will be locally very high in 12 hours, with more widespread heavy thunderstorms over the south-eastern sector ."
"The phenomena will start from the central-southern sectors - adds the Civil Protection - and then move northwards".
Rough or very rough seas, maximum temperatures do not drop, remaining between 19 and 23 degrees .
And as with every weather alert, the emergency is triggered in Cagliari and in particular in Pirri. In the capital there is a yellow alert for ideogeological risk and storms until 12 tomorrow, Wednesday 23 October, from that time the alert level increases and becomes orange .
The advice is the usual: stay indoors, avoid basements and ground floors, do not cross underpasses or overflowing streams or stop near bridges and banks of streams and rivers. And in Pirri there is already a fear of flooding , so much so that the Municipality has communicated the list of streets where it is advisable to park.
