Emanuele Ragnedda has been sent to trial for the murder of Cinzia Pinna, which took place on the Conca Entosa estate (Palau) on September 12.
The Arzachena businessman will appear in the Assize Court on November 10th for the first hearing of the trial.
The defense
"I was defending myself from a threat, and I became the threat. I shouldn't have let her get in the car, I shouldn't have taken the gun. I shouldn't have done so many things." Defense attorney Luca Montella used Emanuele Ragnedda's words to provide Judge Federica Di Stefano with the defendant's version of events. According to criminal lawyers Gabriele Satta and Luca Montella, on September 12 of last year, in the house in Conca Entosa, Emanuele Ragnedda shot Cinzia Pinna in response to an assault. The defense made its requests in the final phase of the proceedings.
The accusation
Prosecutor Noemi Mancini spoke this morning, requesting that the Arzachena businessman be sent to trial. The prosecutor was particularly harsh, insisting that the defendant intended to destroy the victim. According to the prosecutor's reconstruction, the defendant fired three gunshots into the face of a defenseless person, incapable of defending himself and in a state of inferiority due to drug and alcohol consumption. A crime, therefore, without a motive and without any justification or mitigating circumstances.
All the lawyers for the civil parties, Nino and Antonella Cuccureddu, also spoke. They represented Cinzia Pinna's relatives, and Nicoletta Mani represented Luca Franciosi, the alleged victim of a slander contested in Ragnedda.
The decision by preliminary hearing judge Federica Di Stefano came shortly before 6 p.m.
