They did not witness episodes of aggression or violence, they never saw the messages that Ragatzu sent to his then partner nor the photographs of the alleged injuries suffered by the woman .

Today four of the five witnesses called by the Tempio Prosecutor's Office appeared in court in the trial against Daniele Ragatzu, the Olbia striker accused of stalking and mistreatment of his ex-partner.

The cousin of the alleged victim, her husband and two work colleagues and friends of the footballer's ex-partner gave evidence. They all said the same things and reported that they had been warned by the woman of the alleged violence suffered only after the two had broken up and she had filed a complaint against him .

Depositions which led the lawyer Filippo Pirisi, Ragatzu's defender , to bring out a whole series of contradictions: « The girl's whole family was so desperate for her alleged situation, but in nine months no one thought of joining her in Olbia to make sure of his conditions in person - declared the lawyer -. They also stated that she had disappeared, but then they said that she had appeared unkempt, with little care for her appearance. We wonder how they can say these things having never seen her in those months."

The woman's complaint, defended by the lawyer Cristina Cherchi, concerns facts dating back to the period between October 2016 and October 2017, during which the young woman was expecting their child. This proceeding is linked to another where the roles are reversed, Ragatzu has in fact denounced his former father-in-law for slander and perjury . In the deposition, the father of the attacker's ex-girlfriend recanted , claiming that the affair was all a setup orchestrated by him, his wife and his daughter.

Next hearing on March 7, the last witnesses called by the prosecution will be in the courtroom .
