"There's a bomb": Anonymous call raises the alarm at GLS in Elmas. Bomb disposal squad in action

"There is a device ready to explode" . An anonymous phone call , received shortly after 6.30 on Wednesday at the 112 switchboard, triggered the bomb alert at the GLS branch in the industrial area of Elmas .
The Operations Center of the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Cagliari immediately activated the security protocol, sending a patrol from the local station, the bomb disposal experts of the Investigative Unit and an anti-explosive canine unit to the site, while other patrols took care of securing the area.
The office staff was evacuated as a precaution and kept at a safe distance. Then the bomb disposal team went into action inside the shipping company for the clean-up operations, assisted by the canine units.
Both the internal premises and the external yards were inspected. The men of the Arma have also started investigations to identify the author of the phone call and the analysis of the video surveillance footage present in the industrial area is underway.
