This is the accusation that a 38-year-old Romanian woman, residing in Cagliari , will have to answer for, arrested by the carabinieri of Lunamatrona , in collaboration with the soldiers of Serrenti and Samatzai.

The men of the Arma intervened right in Lunamatrona, in via Oristano, after a report to 112.

The woman was caught in the act as she fled from the home of an 89-year-old pensioner, a widower.

The 38-year-old had broken into the old man's house with the excuse of offering goods for sale.

Having then distracted the man by asking him for permission to use the bathroom, she managed to get hold of 1100 euros in cash, stolen from a drawer in the bedroom.

Then he had tried to flee, but the elderly man - suspicious at that point - alerted the carabinieri.

After the arrest, the 38-year-old was identified and then placed under house arrest, available to the judicial authority.
