A targeted theft occurred overnight at pitch number 2 of the Porto Torres sports complex. The thieves stole a 150-meter-long electrical cable that powered the container containing drinks and food used during matches and training sessions.
The theft was discovered by the sporting director of ASD Porto Torres Calcio, Stefano Valente, during an inspection of the playing area where preparations for the new 2025-2026 season had begun. The perpetrators were apparently professionals, someone who knew how to carefully handle the electrical cable : it was a wire running along the safety fence. They apparently flipped the switch on the electrical panel and easily removed the cable.
The financial loss suffered by the club is approximately €700, funds raised with sacrifice and difficulty . Added to this is the damage suffered by the sports facilities, from previous acts of vandalism affecting municipal property and individual businesses in the area, in an area often targeted by hooligans.
