"High" fire alert in more than half of Sardinia also for Sunday
The entire central and eastern sector of the island, plus the entire south, turns orange
High fire danger, orange alert in more than half of Sardinia
Also confirmed for tomorrow, Sunday 2 July, the "high" fire danger in over half of Sardinia .
All of Southern Sardinia, including Cagliari, the central and eastern sectors are characterized by an orange colour.
The conditions, explains the regional civil protection, are such that, "once the trigger has taken place, the event, if not promptly dealt with, can reach such dimensions as to make it difficult to contrast with the ordinary forces, even if reinforced, as it may be necessary to have the fleet state".
The rest of the island will instead be characterized by a yellow alert, therefore medium danger . In this case the conditions are such that, once the trigger has taken place, "the event, if promptly dealt with, can be contrasted with the deployment of ordinary ground forces possibly supplemented by the use of 'light' aircraft from the Region".
