Alone, poor, disabled, almost blind. And when the electricity was cut off because he was in arrears, he also felt desperate. For this reason, not knowing - as they say - more how to do it, he asked for help at 112: “Help me, please, I don't even have the money to do the shopping”.
The protagonist of the story is a 62-year-old from Alà dei Sardi, whose request for help was promptly collected by the carabinieri of the Compagnia di Ozieri, who sent a patrol to the scene.
Then, realizing the conditions of extreme difficulty of the man, the military went to a nearby market, shopping for him and thus giving him basic necessities and even candles to light up the house.
At the same time, the station commander informed the mayor of the situation, who immediately activated the social services of the municipality to assist him.
The man then thanked the carabinieri who brought him dinner and who informed him that he will soon be contacted by a municipal operator for the necessary assistance.
