Sex education becomes sexual-affective education. And in Cagliari, it's arriving at the De Sanctis-Deledda Institute in the form of a podcast . It's called " Affettivamente ," and it's a project designed to explain, in simple language but with educational rigor, what it means today to teach about emotions, respect, and relationships. Some invoke it as an indispensable tool for combating stereotypes and gender violence, while others view it with suspicion, fearing interference in family or moral spheres. "Affettivamente" seeks to clarify matters, offering a space for discussion and reflection among students and professionals.

The podcast is part of an afternoon podcasting workshop led by Professor Franca Rita Porcu with journalist Simone Cavagnino and tutor Eleonora Piano . Three episodes, three meetings with three professionals— Ester Cois, Angela Quaquero, and Efisia Pisanu —to reflect thoughtfully and respectfully on the topics of gender, emotions, and sexuality. The podcast is available on YouTube, on the IIS De Sanctis Deledda school channel: https://www.youtube.com/@IISDeSanctisDeleddaCagliari. Affettivamente was born as a space for discussion between students and professionals : an experience of affective and sexual education that intertwines the emotional and cognitive dimensions, critical thinking and personal sensitivity.

The podcast unfolds in three episodes : in the first, Ester Cois, sociologist and the University of Cagliari's Rector's Delegate for Gender Equality, reflects on the significance of discussing gender and discrimination today. In the second, Angela Quaquero, psychotherapist and former president of the Sardinian Order of Psychologists, addresses the topic of emotions and relationships. In the third, Efisia Pisanu, professor of ars amatoria, explores sexuality from a holistic perspective that respects differences. The voices of the young people—Lorenzo Atzei, Agnese Pitzeri, Manuel Mascia, Fabio Foddis, Lia Moi, Riccardo Spina, Stefano Pilia, Lorenzo Casti (Technical Institute), Martina Vacca (Human Sciences High School), Giovanni Rundeddu, and Alessia Serra (Language High School)—thus become a tool for knowledge and responsibility: "Words that become civil gestures, an antidote to silence and fear," explain the initiative's promoters.
