The Municipality of Quartucciu inaugurates the fifth edition of the project "Identity and value between past and present" with a tribute to Gigi Riva . The initiative, conceived by the culture department, is co-financed by the Sardinia Foundation and coordinated by the Forma e Poesia nel Jazz cooperative, with the support of the Pro Loco.

The event, born from an idea by Alessandra Sorcinelli, will open with a "three days" dedicated to Rombo di Tuono . Riva, although not Sardinian by birth, has chosen to inseparably link his name to Sardinia, thus becoming an iconic figure for the island.

«Gigi Riva chose to become Sardinian and create an indissoluble bond with our land . For this reason, together with councilor Simone Santabarbara we thought of dedicating a stage of our project to the Myth ", said councilor Elisabetta Contini.

The event will take place at DoMusArT from tomorrow, Wednesday 19th June, until the 21st. The three days will be full of testimonies of old glories of Cagliari which will alternate with artistic, cultural and social moments. The official inauguration will take place on June 19th at 6.30 pm .

Among the important events, the collective exhibition themed "The Bomber Gigi Riva" and the presentation of the poetic collection of the Anthology "The Bomber Poets of Sardinia for Gigi Riva". Significant works will be exhibited, including a painting by Paolo Laconi.

On June 20th, from 6pm to 8pm, an interactive artistic workshop curated by the Nanni Pulli Foundation will be held, accompanied by musical moments with the duo Giorgio and Sandra. The artistic exhibition will be open to the public from 6pm to 9pm, concluding on 21 June with the intervention of Professor Gianluca Scroccu of the University of Cagliari, who will exhibit the work: "Gigi Riva in the history of contemporary Sardinia between identity and myth ethical-sports".

«The event represents a unique opportunity to celebrate a great champion and reflect on his cultural and sporting impact, strengthening the sense of identity and belonging of the Sardinian community. Thanks to the collaboration of numerous associations, including the s'Atza association and the Alas in Bolu association, the initiative promises to be a moment of great participation and sharing ", concluded the councilor.
