The value of the "scrapping" of tax bills in Quartu amounts to 4 million and 637 thousand euros, after the initiative launched a few months ago by via Eligio Porcu to help those who had contracted debts towards the Municipality and who were exposed due to of payment orders and enforcement assessments never collected.

The operation, which took into account previous exposures on Imu, Tari, Tares and Tasi, totaled 608 requests out of 9200 potential taxpayers, approximately 7% of the general debtor base with a debt of over 23 million euros which corresponds to 41682 positions open.

Among the 608 applications received, 578 were admitted to the facilitated definition: 30 were excluded due to the duplication of applications or because they concerned requests on assessment notices that were too recent, such as those issued starting from 30 June 2022 and which therefore cannot be scrapped, or under the responsibility of Ader Revenue and Collections Agency-ex Equitalia.

Among those admitted to scrapping, 32 users have chosen to pay in a single payment by the deadline of 31 January 2024. For all the others, the process of installment payments for up to 18 months will now begin, which will allow them to pay the amounts due of capital without calculating penalties and interest.

For those who have chosen the installment formula, the first and second installment have a fixed amount equal to 10% of the total sums due, expiring respectively on 31 January and 29 February 2024. The remaining installments will expire on the last working day of the month reference date following that of February 2024.
