From today it will be possible to get married in the most beautiful places of Quartu Sant'Elena and therefore: sa Dom'e Farra, the Parodi park, piazza Luigi Olla.

The go-ahead for the celebration of weddings in some alternative venues to the traditional ones such as the town hall in via Porcu has come from the Giunta.

A precise choice of the Administration which in this way keeps pace with the evolution of customs and society, meeting new needs and sensitivities. «Today, the celebration of marriage is perceived as not only an intimate or sacred affair, and increasingly escapes, especially as regards the place, the rigid ceremonies imposed by tradition - explains Rossana Perra, councilor for Productive Activities and Territorial Promotion - So we have tried to reconcile the pleasure of the spouses for a beautiful aesthetic result of the ceremony with the civil and legal value of the commitment they are going to assume. In the future, we count on further expanding the range of choices and locations, aware of the enormous potential linked to the development of this valorisation action».

The councilor Valeria Piras, promoter of the initiative, was also satisfied: «This process began several years ago with a regulation on which we worked hard and then with the first choice of Casa Olla».
