Hall of the Quartu municipal council occupied by No Tyrrhenian Link.
A group of protesters against Terna's electricity cable which will have to land at Terra Mala, to connect Sicily and Sardinia and allow the export of energy produced by the island's renewable plants, took part in the assembly session in via Eligio Porcu, in the municipality led by mayor Graziano Milia.
For some time the committee has forwarded a formal request for the Council to meet in a public session to discuss the energy project which affects the Quarto coast and beyond: an appeal which has so far not been accepted. Hence the occupation's decision, which could drag on until a formal response arrives.
