Resisting a public official and receiving stolen goods. These charges are being faced by a 30-year-old of Moroccan origins, arrested by the Quartu Police.

Around 7 a.m. on August 8, the officers of the Flying Squad of the Quartu Sant'Elena Police Station intervened in Via Molaria because the presence of a man in a house had been reported. The granddaughter of the homeowner had seen him in the garden, setting off the alarm.

Hearing the screams, the man probably ran away, but he showed up again later, trying to steal the car of the same homeowner. Blocked, he managed to free himself and escape with a car.

The police found the vehicle parked in a rest area on Lungo Mare del Golfo, and inside the 30-year-old of Moroccan origin, who resisted, also brandishing a knife.

He had with him several objects probably stolen. The man was arrested: following the hearing for summary, the investigating judge validated the arrest with the application of the precautionary measure in prison.
