Very serious accident in the late morning today in Quartu Sant'Elena in via Marconi, shortly after midday, almost at the intersection with via Volta. A seventy-year-old woman was hit on the pedestrian crossing, just after leaving a shop in the area, and was thrown several meters: her conditions are critical, she was immediately transported by ambulance to Brotzu in red code with a head injury and other various traumas.

The place where the accident occurred is already known for other situations of this type: a few months ago another pedestrian had been hit, in that case without suffering any particular injuries. The shopkeepers themselves helped the woman hit this morning, before the ambulance arrived. She was unconscious for a few moments, then she recovered but her conditions remain very serious and immediately appeared very serious.

At the wheel of the Fiat Panda that caused the accident was another woman, also around 70 years old . On site, in addition to the 118 ambulance, also the local police officers.
