The investigation into the death of Giovanni Cuccu , the 48-year-old from Quartu Sant'Elena who died on Tuesday at the Brotzu in Cagliari, where he had arrived in very serious conditions, was being rescued at the house of a friend in Terralba . In the last few hours the hypothesis of the accident seems to be gaining more strength: the man in the night between Sunday and Monday would have gotten out of bed, lost his balance and fallen, ending up against the iron headboard. This impact allegedly caused his chest wounds and other traumas.

Even the autopsy , ordered by the Oristano public prosecutor's office which opened a homicide file (a necessary act to allow all the investigations to be carried out), had shown that the wounds were compatible both with a violent action and with an accidental fact and in fact he hadn't ruled out the possibility of an accident.

Just after the necropsy, the carabinieri continued with the investigations. The witnesses were heard again, in particular the friend who was hosting Cuccu in the house in via Eleonora. His story seems reliable and is compatible with the picture that is emerging and with what has emerged so far. The investigations continue.
