After an argument at home he decided not to sleep in his home and went to the family business to spend the night. He lit a fire to warm himself, in a brazier, and the carbon monoxide fumes killed him in his sleep.

According to a first reconstruction of the drama, this would be the cause of the death of Federico Massa, who turned 62 two days ago, born in Sarroch and resident in Selargius.

The drama took place in the sawmill he owned, on the third street of the industrial area of Macchiareddu.

The alarm was raised this morning by a family member who found the lifeless body.

The 118 doctors immediately arrived on the scene and tried for a long time to resuscitate him but there was nothing to be done. The carabinieri from the Assemini station and the Cagliari Company also intervened and worked to reconstruct the dynamics of the tragedy.
