Pula, man beats girlfriend in car: passers-by hear screams and raise alarm

Last night the Carabinieri of the Pula station arrested a 38-year-old waiter, already known to the police, for mistreatment of his live-in partner, a 33-year-old.

The military intervened following a report from the victim, who told 112 that she had been hit by her partner inside their car.

According to the military, the attack would have occurred during a fight. The providential intervention of some passers-by who heard the woman's calls for help avoided worse consequences.

When the 33-year-old woman reported the incident to the police, she broke a wall of silence that had lasted three years, recounting other episodes of violence, which were included in the file that was then sent to the judicial authorities, before which the man was sent with a summary trial.
