He attempted to steal a thousand euros worth of alcohol from a supermarket in Pula, but his escape was short-lived. Carabinieri from the Capoterra station last night arrested a 21-year-old Romanian man , homeless, single, unemployed, and already known to law enforcement , who is being held responsible for aggravated theft.

The intervention was triggered after the business owner called for help, having caught the boy trying to run away after stealing several bottles of alcohol with a total value of approximately one thousand euros.

The soldiers arrested the man and managed to recover the loot. After the usual formalities, the 21-year-old was held in custody, awaiting a fast-track trial.
