Ten thousand signatures are enough, but the promoters intend to greatly exceed the limit established by the Sardinian Statute for popular initiative proposals. The objective is to tell the Pratobello law to as many people as possible: to raise awareness in the territories not only of the concrete risk of an invasion of wind turbines and photovoltaic panels, but also and above all of the only path that the Region can take to prevent that this happens. The one indicated in article 3, letter "f", of the Statute, an essential cornerstone that no one can go beyond: the primary competence of Sardinia in the field of construction and urban planning. All this will be explained to citizens at the banquets set up in the municipalities of the island until September 30th. Two months to reach at least fifty thousand signatures.

The committees

The collection will be widespread thanks above all to the work of the committees against energy speculation. There are eighteen in total, so territorial coverage is guaranteed. They will be the ones, with the help of the mayors and city councilors delegated to certify the signatures, to actually organize the collection. The contribution of the ANCI will also be fundamental: the proposed popular initiative will be one of the points on the agenda of the Assembly scheduled for the 31st in Abbasanta.

Towards the Council

Once the objective of ten thousand signatures has been reached (and exceeded), the Pratobello law will be able to reach the Regional Council, first in the competent commissions where it will be examined and discussed, then in the Chamber.

New project in Guspini

Meanwhile, the eighteenth project for the construction of an agrivoltaic park in the Guspinese area was presented a few days ago. It will be called "Guspini" and will have a power of 42,619 MWp, with related connection works. The project is currently in the administrative verification phase and the documents will be available soon. Marcello Serru, councilor for public works, declared: «We will study the project and draw up the observations with the technical office. In Guspini there are important agro-livestock businesses that we want to support so that they can continue and progress, without being replaced by industrial plants that have nothing to do with the sector. The interventions of Gal, the Municipality and other bodies bear witness to this."
