Sinkhole roads and endless construction sites: "Via della Pineta is unsafe." A motion denounces dips and subsidence on the roadway. The document is signed by minority city councilors Roberto Loi (first signatory), Aurora Cappai, Cosimo Lai, and Paride Casula of "Uniti per Sinnai," Aldo Lobina of "Sinnai libera," and Walter Zucca and Roberta Simoni of Forza Italia.
" We're talking about a very busy road that's been subjected to months of successive construction work. This is an extremely precarious situation that we want to bring to the attention of the City Council with a motion to be voted on by the City Council. We cannot consider it normal for such an important road to remain in such precarious conditions for months," Loi states. " The fragmented construction work and constant reopenings are compounded by roadworks that, even when necessarily temporary, must still ensure adequate safety conditions. Today, this standard, in several sections, does not appear to be guaranteed ."
The motion specifically highlights the risk posed by dips, misalignments, and pavement collapses , which are even more dangerous when not adequately marked. This situation can be particularly critical for motorcycles, mopeds, and bicycles, because the right-hand side of the road, normally used by these users, was affected by the work. The motion also calls for immediate intervention by Mayor Barbara Pusceddu, also in her capacity as Deputy Mayor of the Metropolitan City, which manages the road.
