"The choice of the Region and the Government on the gas supply to Eurallumina must finally be put down in black and white and implemented in a short time". This is what the unions said after the meeting of the last few days, on the occasion of the sit-in in Cagliari for the development of Sulcis Iglesiente, in which the Councilor for Industry Emanuele Cani communicated that the President Alessandra Todde has guaranteed Eurallumina the arrival of the gas at the factory . Now there is great anticipation in view of the ministerial meeting scheduled for Monday afternoon.
The Region should present to the ministerial table the gas supply scheme in Sardinia that would include a gas tanker in Porto Torres , for Northern Sardinia, and one in Oristano for Southern Sardinia . From Oristano the methane, via a gas pipeline, would arrive to the Portovesme factory. "We hope that the proposal scheme is put down in black and white by the Region and the Government - says Pierluigi Loi, regional secretary of Uiltec - it is essential that this step materialize within the year . If the Region presents its proposal on Monday, the Government will then have to proceed quickly with the new Dpcm".
The current Dpcm on energy in Sardinia, which established among other things the arrival of gas in Portovesme, has been challenged by the Solinas Council. On November 21, before the Council of State, the hearing will be held in which the Region and the Government will be opposed, unless a shared draft of the future Dpcm is first made official. This is also why Monday's meeting is attracting a lot of attention.
