Porto Torres, stormy winds: ships hijacked and trips cancelled

Due to the bad weather, the Athara ferry of the Tirrenia company , coming from Genoa and destined to land in Porto Torres, was diverted to the Olbia port where it arrived in the late morning. Three trips canceled by ships that were due to leave their moorings this morning from the Turritan port of call . Due to weather conditions , the ferries of the Grimaldi company were suspended : Cruise Roma and Barcellona which, respectively, should have traveled the route towards Barcelona and Civitavecchia. They will leave tomorrow, Wednesday 30 August, in favorable marine weather conditions. The race of the Mega Smeralda, a ferry of the Corsica Ferries company bound for Toulon, has also been postponed until tomorrow.
