For some time they had illegally occupied an uninhabited apartment, with the intention of settling there permanently. Inside the building located in the Green Village, one of the districts of Porto Torres, a family was evicted from the council house owned by the Regional Area Agency. An operation carried out by the judicial and building police unit of the local police, coordinated by Lieutenant Michele Roggio, who carried out the preventive seizure of the property on the orders of the Public Prosecutor's Office.

The family unit, consisting of two people, without any title, taking advantage of the recent return of the apartment by its previous owner, and pending delivery to a new beneficiary, had decided to move to the premises and occupy them permanently . The agents of the municipal authorities freed the property with difficulty and then reported both abusers to the judicial authorities.

The accommodation has been returned to Area which will assign it to a person entitled to it, on the basis of specific criteria and disadvantaged economic conditions. The intervention of the local police was triggered following the notification prevented from the command by the House Office of the Municipality of Porto Torres.

"The operation carried out testifies to the attention of the judicial and municipal authorities, as well as the sensitivity of the municipal administration - underlines the mayor Massimo Mulas - with regard to the correct destination and use of public goods made available to the community to mitigate the effects negatives dictated by the condition of economic difficulty ".
