There is no peace for the Porto Torres railway station in Via Fontana Vecchia , regularly targeted by vandals. The acts of destruction of the structure continue despite the continuous reports forwarded to the Italian railway network.

During the night, unknown persons raided the side of Piazza Stintino, damaging the fixtures, panels and windows of the entrance door . They threw themselves against the benches, unhinging parts of the windows and throwing materials on the ground. A state of abandonment and degradation that has persisted for too long.

Students and commuters use the train every day, which has its terminus in the station in via Ponte Romano, but at night the structures remain abandoned to their fate. Some witnesses say they saw a gang of young people, ten boys who entered undisturbed the internal rooms of the structure without cameras capable of collecting images capable of identifying those responsible. The walls of some rooms have been smeared with paint.

Residents are asking for a solution to ensure surveillance of the station, now in check by vandals. Actions that risk degenerating if there is no real intervention that guarantees safety, as has been desired for months.
