A nineteen-year-old resident outside the island, but of Sardinian origin, was arrested by the Carabinieri of the Porto Torres company in collaboration with colleagues from Sassari, on charges of violation of domicile, threats, stalking of a girl and mistreatment of family members and cohabitants to the detriment of his mother.

The precautionary measure issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Sassari, at the request of the Sassari Public Prosecutor's Office, became necessary following the investigations conducted by the military of Sassari and Sassari starting from March 2024, when the nineteen-year-old had arbitrarily entered, on at least 5 occasions, the home of a girl resident in Porto Torres, destroying objects and demanding money , thus causing the young woman a serious state of anxiety and fear for her safety.

The Carabinieri also found that the young man behaved in a very similar manner towards his mother from May 2024 until last January . On several occasions he allegedly insulted his mother, pushing her, threatening her and showing aggressive behaviour towards her, insistently asking her for money, even through targeted stakeouts carried out by the young man near places frequented by his mother.

Elements that led to the arrest, this morning, with the application of the precautionary measure of detention in prison , issued by the judge against the young man who was subsequently locked up in the Bancali prison.
