Flames from the electricity cabin, repeated bursts that set off the alarm. In via Indipendenza, near the intersection with via Manno, in the center of Porto Torres, the smoke and sparks drew the attention of the worried residents who called 115.

A probable overheating of the equipment in the Enel substation triggered a fire with inevitable disruptions in the electricity distribution network. The firefighters of the local detachment rushed to the scene together with Enel employees.

The flames have been extinguished and operations have begun to restore the connections. Inside the substation, repairs are still underway on a section of the network that has remained without electricity.

Discomfort and complaints in the neighborhood where residents and merchants have had to give up the use of ovens, refrigerators and equipment necessary in many cases to carry out the activity.

Enel workers assure that thanks to a generator the service will be reactivated for almost all users.
