For reasons of decorum, urban safety and protection of public safety, the municipal administration of Porto Torres has prohibited the administration and sale for takeaway, as well as the itinerant consumption, of drinks in cans and glass containers during the three days of the Festha Manna . The ordinance, in force in the Porto Torres area during the event, was signed by the mayor Massimo Mulas, who deemed it necessary to adopt suitable measures to regulate the methods of conferring waste on the occasion of traveling initiatives and shows.

On the days of 27, 28 and 29 May, the events of the "Festha Manna" will be held in Porto Torres, with an estimated number of people who will concentrate mostly in the city centre. To ensure urban decorum and to preserve the safety and security of the participants, the provision intends to prevent the risks attributable to the consumption of drinks in glass containers and cans, the empties of which, if abandoned on the roadside, can be used improper by persons engaged in unlawful conduct.

It will not be possible, for all the owners of public food and beverage establishments, for operators in public areas, managers of commercial establishments in a fixed location and for craft activities, to administer and sell any beverage in a public area , also non-alcoholic, in cans and glass containers. The prohibition is also extended to the areas granted to the owners of public establishments for the positioning of tables and chairs. In the event of a violation , a fine ranging from 25 to 500 euros is foreseen.
