An ancient compensator, a piece of the instrumentation of a military ship appeared at the bottom of the sea , in the waters of the Gulf of Asinara. It was deposited in the seabed, not far from the coast of Porto Torres , one of those places often explored by a lover of military finds, a resident of the place.

Barra di Findler , this is the exact name of the object probably belonging to the Regia Marina , the naval weapon of the Kingdom of Italy until June 18, 1946 when, with the proclamation of the Republic, it assumed the new name of Navy. An instrument of the ship, a soft iron bar, 42 centimeters long with a diameter of seven, positioned on the dashboard inside the copper tube, and appropriately calibrated with the compass and placed on its sides to counteract the magnetism produced by the ship itself .

It represents a historical piece also identified by the Paglietti Nautical Institute . Traces of green suggest a coat of arms of the Regia Marina. It appeared after a storm and, once brought to the surface, was identified as an instrument of a military ship, presumably dating back to World War II.
